The South Denali
Visitors Center planned for the Petersville Road is still
on hold due to environmental concerns and impact on local mining
activity. This area has spectacular views of Mt. McKinley and will
have a major impact on |
our
area of Alaska, the Matanuska-Susitna Valleys.
The road to Hatcher Pass and the Independence Mine State
Historical Park will be upgraded this summer. Also, plans
for a downhill ski resort are slowly progressing.
