   The Agate Family Apartment Suites continue to serve as the main guest area of the Inn.
   The 2,000 square foot Agate Guest House offers three large comfortable guest rooms, each with king beds and a private bath.
   The new Susitna Cottage is a bright and cheerful two-bedroom home ideal for longer stays.

Based on excellent King Salmon fishing in 1997 and 1998, the Alaska Department of Fish & Game and our local river guides are projecting a strong King Salmon return

   The Alaskan Agate B&B opened on July 4, 1992 with simple plans....a single building with four apartment suites. It wasn’t long before we realized that innkeeping was our destiny. So, we didn’t have to think twice as three other buildings surrounding us were placed on the market. We found our dream quickly expanded.
   With plans for expansion in mind, the need for a shorter, simpler name also became apparent. After debate and deliberation, we chose Agate Inn and we adopted a polar bear into our new logo. Harvey was very disappointed to find that a rock just wasn’t recognizable in the logo.
   The Agate Inn guest complex now consists of four buildings situated on 16 heavily wooded and landscaped acres.
