Reed Lake: Hatchers Pass

The Agate Inn is centrally located, one hour north of Anchorage and three hours from the north entrance of Denali National Park, allowing you the opportunity for several day excursions. 
 




In the summer months we have more daylight than many of us can use. Visitors often look at their watches and think it is 5 PM when instead it is midnight!  This phenomenon provides a great opportunity to make the most of your time in Alaska.


McNeil River Bear Sanctuary

In this section you will find many activities and attractions that make great day trips while you are staying at the Agate Inn.  Choose among these, or review some of the Recommended Day Trips we have put together for you. You will find some trips make a long day and some are short day trips.
